Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Happy Friday friends!! We made it!! And as I'm sure you've all heard WAY too many times, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started yesterday for all card holders. Yay! But honestly I kept going back and forth with myself yesterday deciding on whether or not I wanted to cover the #nsale this year. On one hand I think it can be really fun to see what items other girls pick up and are loving, it's always fun to get a first look at what will be trending in the upcoming fall season, and who doesn't love a good sale right!? But at the same time EVERYONE covers it and it can definitely get overwhelming so here's my take on it:

First things first, none of these things are NEEDS....we don't need any of the stuff that any of us buy during this sale. They're WANTS. It's just the truth. For me personally, I really tried to learn from my experience last year. Y'all I spent WAY too much last year and quite honestly was financially irresponsible #keepingitreal but it taught me how not to become overwhelmed by all the posts and the sale in general. So this year my strategy was to really pay attention over the past fall and winter season and take mental notes of the pieces I really could have used in my wardrobe and the pieces that I used on a daily basis. I'm proud to say I only purchased FOUR items total this year (pending fit of course)! So remember that there is zero obligation to shop this sale my friends...if you love something and you want to treat yourself then GO GIRL! Or even if you're needing to really update your fall and winter wardrobe this is an AMAZING sale and a great time to do just that! But don't let yourself get wrapped up in it all! So without further ado I'm linking my favorite picks from the sale for any of you who are #nsale faithfuls. Most of the items I purchased have sadly sold out already but one last tip for shopping this sale is to keeping an eye on those sold out items. Nordstrom is known for restocking things over the course of the sale! Happy shopping friends!!!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018

I'm going to break these up by categories. Scroll below for stoppable links to everything!!

Casual wear, lounge wear, and knits

I picked up the cable knit cardigan in both this pink color and the sold out oat color and will decide which one to keep when they arrive. I bought another long knit cardigan coat last year and LIVED in it all fall and winter! They're great for layering and for lounging around the house!! I also almost bought this knot front dress as a great basic throw on and go outfit but wanted to stay within budget. I've seen it on a lot of girls and it looks so flattering and comfy!

Outerwear

I'm a huge coat lover in the colder temps! They're the best way to layer and keep warm but still stay fashion forward. I also believe that every girls closet should have at least one classic coat in it! I have a vintage one similar to this plaid one that goes with nearly everything! I also love a fun pop of color like this lavender coat. I have one almost identical that I wore all last winter to change up the normally muted fall and winter color palate. I bought this pullover last year and LIVED in it as well. I wear it work over my scrubs daily!! If you live somewhere cold snag this one for sure!!

Athletic Wear

I've heard amazing reviews of the Zella leggings! It's Nordstroms athletic wear brand and I've been told they're comparable to Lululemon! I also bought some Adidas running shoes at last years sale and LOVED them! These are a super cute pair if you're needing some new ones!

Shoes

These flats are gorgeous...I was so tempted to snag these adorable ones!! I also have some very similar boots and love them to dress up jeans in the fall and winter. These Tory Burch sandals are definitely a splurge but such a stable color and silhouette. And I did grab these adorable muted blush mules! I was on the market for a pair!

Beauty

Charlotte Tilbury makes a great product and this palette includes highlighters, blush, and bronzer! My everyday highlighter is by Hourglass and I LOVE it! They're products are amazing and I've tried these blushes on in store...they're the perfect natural glow!

Home

I bought this throw full price last year and B and I both love it!! It's so soft and cozy! I also love throw pillows and there is an amazing selection as part of the sale this year. This pillowcase had me so intrigued! It supposed to help with fine lines and wrinkles while you sleep...almost picked one up for such a great price point! Love the simple design of this in home diffuser! I have another design of this rifle paper co recipe card box and use it all the time! Picnics are the perfect summer date night so this basketball is definitely an item you could buy and use right now!!

Alright friends thats it for me this year!! The other items I picked up were a tea length floral dress that I shared on my insta stories that I think will be perfect for fall weddings but was sadly sold out by the time I started this post and a gorgeous suede jacket which was THE number one item I wanted this year!! Can't wait to hear what everyone is buying (or isn't)!!!

XO, L
