Linen Bulletin Boards {Without Braking the Bank}

Are you looking for a chic and stylish way to display all your odds and ends? Wanting to create a vision board? Looking for a new way to jazz up the walls in your office space?? Well so was I! I quickly fell in love with these gorgeous linen bulletin boards I kept seeing HOWEVER...holy high price point! Every time I found one I loved, in the size I loved, it was easily $100+ and way out of my price point! Let's be honest, we're talking about corkboard people!!

I was wandering around Homegoods {as one does} and found these great, sturdy and sizable bulletin boards for $16.99 each!! Then it hit me! I knew with a little bit of fabric and my handy dandy staple gun, I could make some stylish bulletin boards of my own, on trend and in budget!! I went to Joann Fabrics and picked out some linen fabric that I loved (I got 3 yards just in case but 2 would have been plenty!) and headed home to start my project! I left about 3 inches of fabrics on all edges just to ensure I had plenty to work with. One piece of advice, when working with linen, is to remember it frays when it's cut so I used the extra fabric to create a nicely folded and clean edge to prevent any fraying later! Also, be sure to download the weekly Joann Fabrics coupon!! I got my fabric 60% off making it dirt cheap!!

I am really excited with how they turned out once I got them up on the wall! Thanks to everyone who voted to help me decide where to hang them!! They match my space and are such a stylish way for me to collect all of my nick-nacks and inspirations!! The best part is the whole project came out to be about $30 per board! If you're looking for a step by step guide of exactly what I did, you can watch the quick video tutorial below!! For reference the boards I used are 35"x23", the staple gun can be found at your local craft store, and I used 3/8mm staples {double stapling each spot twice about 1.5-2 inches apart around the whole border}.
