Fall is just over a week away from it's OFFICIAL start and though the temperatures are slow to follow, they'll start dropping soon enough, ushering in one of my favorite aspects of the season: S W E A T E R W E A T H E R

I may not be the biggest fan of the cooler months but I do love an excuse to break into my ever growing collection of knits while shopping a few new pieces to add each year. There's nothing quite like a sunny but crisp fall day, out for a walk in a favorite sweater and tee combo, with a hot beverage in hand. I'm chronically cold so it's not uncommon to find me with a cardigan throughout the year but I really enjoy the layered looks that the autumn season ushers in. Mixing textures, patterns, and colors makes for a luxe yet cozy look every time. I've rounded up a number of my favorite knit pieces of the pre/early fall launches from some of my favorite retailers and I'm highlighting a few that especially caught my eye. My Pick: This cardigan is such a luxe but lightweight knit. I own it in the Rosewood color but I'm really loving this deep berry shade for Fall to break up all the neutrals of the season. The buttons are functional allowing it to be worn open or closed and the slightly wider neckline allows for it to also be worn backwards if you're wanting the appearance of a pullover sweater. I took my true size initially for a slightly more relaxed fit but will size down one for any future colors I snag. It's warm but thin enough to be worn year round and layers perfectly under coats or blazers.

My Pick: This neckline feels sexy but still timeless, almost even a bit vintage. I think bodysuits are such a great option this time of year. No having to fuss keeping your top tucked in throughout the day. They make layering easy and help provide a silhouetted option in comparison to cozy knits and heavier coats this time of year. A neutral color like this is bound to pair with most of your existing fall wardrobe.

P U L L O V E R S :

My Pick: This color! I'm really leaning into the moody shades this year and this one feels like SUCH a classic. Easily paired with creams, colors or even chambray, this slightly slouchy fit feels like a fall closet staple. This sweater feels like the perfect everyday, coffee run, errand running fall uniform that we reach for as the temps start to cool.

My Pick: I'm a longtime sock collector if you will; I thing socks are such an underrated accessory, especially in the fall. I think if chosen with thought, socks can add a little extra personality to a look during those days when you can't bare to bare naked ankles. I've also loved the dress socks with loafers look for a couple years now, these however are the sweetest and most perfect bootie/sneaker/everyday socks for the season and I just love all the colors they come in.
